Description: White or light yellow crystalline powder or small crystals, smell of sulfur dioxide, gradually yellow in color after storage. Soluble in water, soluble in glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol. It is easily decomposed by moisture and easily oxidized into sodium sulfate when exposed to air. Contact with strong acids releases sulfur dioxide and forms the corresponding salts. Decompose when heated to 150℃.

Storage: This material should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Keep away from fire and heat. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, acids and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. It should not be kept long enough to avoid deterioration.
